Eligibility Requirements:
All that is required to enter is a total in a USA Powerlifting Championship from during either 2016 or 2017. Important note, your qualifying total may be set in either a raw or an equipped championship during either 2016 or 2017. All lifters competing in the championship must be a member of USA Powerlifting. Membership cards will be available for purchase at registration prior to the start of the weigh-ins. Preferably, memberships can be purchased in advance, on-line, here: www.usapowerlifting.com

Important to note, in order to compete in the Southeastern Regional Championships you must legally reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina & Tennessee.

Key and important, the USA Powerlifting Southeastern Regional qualifier shall serve as an optional qualifier for either the 2017 USA Powerlifting Raw National Championships or the 2018 USA Powerlifting Men’s and Women’s Open Nationals. The first place finisher in ANY division that does not make the qualifying total for 2017 Raw National Championships or 2018 Men’s and Women’s Open National Championships will automatically qualify for the respective National Championship, regardless of total. The 2017 USA Powerlifting Raw National Championships will take place on October 10-15, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel – Orlando International Airport. I would highly encourage you to take advantage of this particular competition and the fact that you may be able to qualify for this National Championship.

Awards:
Awards will be presented to all 1st – 5th place finishers, for each weight class and division. Champion of Champion awards will be presented to the best overall male and female lifter for the championship for the overall best Teen, Junior, Open and Master Lifters. The overall best lifters will be determined by the Wilks formula. Awards will be presented to the 1st – 5th place teams in the following categories: Open, Teen, Junior and Master.

After February 8th, 2017, you may reserve your room for the special group rate of $129.00, plus tax for either a single or double room. In order to receive the group rate, you must inform the reservation agent that you’re with: Regional Powerlifting Championships. The deadline for making your reservation is July 5, 2017.

My recommendation is that you not wait until the deadline to make your reservation. Likely, all of the rooms will be sold out. It is highly recommended that you make your reservation as soon as possible.

Each spectator and coach will receive a wrist band for each paid admission, per day.

USA Powerlifting – Who We Are

USA Powerlifting (formerly American Drug Free Powerlifting Association, Inc.) is the leading powerlifting organization in the United States. USA Powerlifting is a member of the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF), the governing body of powerlifting internationally. The IPF is comprised of member federations of 100+ countries on six continents. USA Powerlifting, through its affiliation with the IPF, also sends a national team to participate in the World Games. The World Games is an international multi-sports event hosted by the International World Games Association (IWGA) that falls under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The event consists of official sports and demonstration sports selected from those not included in the Olympic Games. The Games are held every fourth year, following the year of the Summer Olympics.
